Lys, you haven't seen Sense and Sensibility?? I blame your mother for this. Go rent it immediately. Then read the book. For some reason, the movie made me like the book more. That almost never happens.
My mom has it, but she only forced me to read the books, not the movies. Somehow I skipped this one...?
I guess you don't actually read movies...
